You’re in luck if you visit Union Gap as part of your Thanksgiving holiday.

First of all, we have all your shopping needs covered! Our http://www.shopatvalleymall.com/ is the largest mall in the Yakima Valley and we continue to grow and add the stores you’re looking for. Just in time for the holidays you’ve seen great stores such as Victoria’s Secret, Carter’s, Play Live Nation, QNails, AT&T, MetroPCS and Bath & Body Works all open. Add these to the mall's anchor stores of Macy’s, Kohl’s and Sears, plus the nearby Cabela’s, Penney’s and Costco and you can get all your shopping done in one place.  Black Friday and Small Business Saturday here you come!

Shopping makes you hungry of course, and Union Gap is home to local favorites including Pepp’rmint Stick Drive-In, Jean’s Cottage Inn, Los Hernandez Tamales and Old Town Station and national chains including the recently Panera Bread. For a complete list of restaurants visit our website here. http://www.visituniongap.com/places-to-eat.php

Now, you’ve shopped AND eaten, it’s time to catch a movie. Mercy Theatres plays all the latest hits, you can even buy your tickets on-line in advance to make sure you get the show time you desire. Including Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. http://www.yakimatheatres.com/

Looking for a simple and inexpensive way to entertain the family? Take a drive through our Central Washington Ag Museum. Located at Fullbright Park, the tour takes you through history from the comfort of your own vehicle. Or, if you’re seeking a little exercise to help work off that extra slice of pumpkin pie, you’re welcome to walk the 15+ acres. Either way, if you have anyone in your family in any way connected to ag, it is a must visit in the Yakima Valley.

If you traveled with pets, Union Gap’s Fullbright Park is a great place to take your dogs out on a walk. They have acres and acres to run in, and there’s room for family traditions such as a game of touch football while the dogs are out playing.

One final note, Union Gap Transit is running a free holiday shuttle around Union Gap stores on Black Friday and every Friday/Saturday until December 28th. How convenient to park your car at the mall, and then simply call the shuttle at 509-574-8000 and let them run you to your next destination and drop you off. Give it a try, you can even catch up on the games and your texting/social while riding the shuttle. http://www.cityofuniongap.com/transit/

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and thanks for visiting Union Gap. If your out-of-town guests need a place to stay, all of our Union Gap hotels (http://www.visituniongap.com/places-to-stay.php) offer free breakfasts and are within walking distance of the Valley Mall and many restaurants.
